Here is a picture of my regularly street driven "Blazin" 1968 camaro with pump gas 383 sbc and newly installed caltracs monoleaf springs and traction device. 60' times on my first time out with caltracs improved from 1.49s-1.50s to 1.45s with the car leaving more square lifting both front tires instead of lifting driver side front tire only. 1/8 mile times improved from 6.84-6.88 to 6.76-6.77 and 1/4 mile best of 10.81 improved to 10.76. Car was able to perform better 1/4 mile time even with significant head wind that resulted in slower trap speeds. On 10.81 pass before caltracs, car ran 123.16 mph. With caltracs, car ran 10.76 at 122.4 mph. The car was able to run faster number with less trap speed thanks to improved traction/launch. Cant wait to see how well the car performs on a day without a head wind, and with adjustable rear shocks and a little experimenting with the caltracs.
I'd like to thank the guys at Calvert Racing for the assistance. Its not everyday you get a call from the owner of the company himself to give suggestions for fine tuning and a detailed explanation of how it all works and what effect adjustments will have on the way my car launches. Money well spent.

Thanks,
Mike Proctor
